**********Sorry as of this week the 20th is no longer an option. I have started a Master Naturalist program and we have a field day on the 20th. So the date will be Oct 6th for the RU this fall. Details and a link will come later.*******
OK North Texas it's time!.....Here we are headed into fall, although the weather doesn't seem like it.
Sybil (sybram) and her husband have once again agreed to allow us to invade their place for a RU this fall. (We really need to remember to pass the hat this time!) She has two dates in October open that we can use her pavillion. The dates are both Saturdays and the RU will start at noon. Please chime in for your choice, we don't want her to be in limbo waiting on us too long so I am only leaving this open to discussion for one week....sorry those of you aren't online often. Myself, Josephine, and Stephanietx will keep up with threads and organize it this year.
Oct 6th at noon in Burleson for the RU

2012 North Central Texas RU October ????
Either one works for me.
Tina
Oct. 20 is better for me.
Um, er, I will check into it....at this point I don't know if either is better or worse. I know my DGS's birthday (in Fort Worth) is the 10th, and we are probably going to their place for some type of festivity at some point, but I don't know when.
Either works for me, but the 6th seems like it would be better to give any plants actually planted more time to establish before the frost comes (if we get any freezing weather this year).
Either one works for me, I will go with the majority.
Josephine.
Im OK with either.
Thought you woild never ask !
I prefer the 6th
Carrie_dahlin, just tell em it needs
to be on the 14th cuz you have
a top-priority meeting .....
Nice idea, Baja, but I don't think I have that kind of status................
Oh me. So sorry, Sheila, that I didn't see this before I wrote you. Hahaha, guess I'm one of those who "don't get online often." And that's putting it mildly.. You guys are so welcome at our place, and don't even think about passing the hat.
October sounds so cool and inviting, doesn't it?
Indeed it does Sybil! I have been enjoying the 70s we had a few mornings too.
OK....bad news for the few of you that picked 10-20. I have just signed up for the Master Naturalist Program and there is a class being held on 10-20. So I hate to be mean but since I am going to be unable to make that date, I will need to say we have to go with October 6th this year. Sorry I didn't know this ahead of time.
thats the beauty of early planning
anyway the 20th is our anniversary
I'll try to catch an RU next year. Ya'll have fun.
That is great Sheila, then the 6th it is, sorry Pat.
Sorry Pat, it has been so long since we have seen you it seems like. Make sure you check out the RU they are getting together in the Houston area. I already have that info on the event sticky thread at the top of the forum.
Oct 20th works better for me, as I will be in San Marcos over the week of the 6th!
Sorry Cindy, had to pull the 20th off the option list. We will have to do it on the 6th to get the free place at Sybil's. Check back a few posts for explaination.
Is Oct. 6th the final date. I want to put it on my calendar. I'm sorta new ( well, to this site anyway, lol). Whats an RU and what do we bring?
A RU is a round up and it's a plant swap. There's food, fun, and free plants. You can pre-arrange trades or just show up for the fellowship. You won't leave empty-handed!
Hi Sandy and welcome to the thread. Glad you are going to join us, and yes the 6th it will be. Noon in Burleson TX (location is a private residence and will be emailed to those coming later). I will put a thread up for attendance before long and add the link here.
We have the thread up for attendance now. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1277951/
Please sign up even if it is a maybe, so you can "watch" and have all the information needed. This thread will likely get buried soon.
Stephanie has the trade thread up now too! http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1278114/
And Marty has a long list posted already!
I am sorry I missed the RU, we were on vacation during that week/weekend. See you all in the spring!
Hope so Cindy! We will be at the Randol Mill Park for the spring one since it is usually bigger.
