I spotted this insect at night on the porch of my New Orleans, LA home. I have no idea where to start looking for an ID. It is about the size of my thumb. Best I can tell from by lantern-light it is alternating greet and brown in the body. It has a wide head and thorax, with an abdomen that ends in a point. It's wings are translucent and extend past its body. It did not respond to my movement or light movement. Just curious if anyone knows. Sorry the picture is a bit dark.
