Looking for Creamsickle cutting...

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Hi,

Does anyone out there have a cutting from Creamsickle that they would be able to send for postage? I'm out of cuttings right now for trade. Would be glad to send you something next year though. Please let me know.

Thanks a lot,

Shirley

Hi,

I've been told that this brug is in Native Habitat's book. I sure couldn't find it on the web site and I don't have one of their books.

Here is what G. wrote about it:

N. Habitat has it in their book and Lee at N. Habitat said it was as popular
as H. Garten, description is:
B.versicolor x (Cream sickle) A huge orange & white double developed by N.
Habitat. Large flowers resemble "Species" but color streaks through the
bloom until it is orange. Available in spring 2001.

Arlene,
could Shirley be talking about that double peach from Vero Beach.... the one I posted a picture of back in the summer...if so it's not for sale yet.

Hey Ladies, I'm told that this one went on sale last spring. A friend is supposed to get a cutting of it from another friend of her's but it is too small to get any other cuttings until after it has grown a while. The Gloria that I know, not from DG said there is a picture of it in the NH book, well, I don't have one of those. Will have to see if she can scan a picture of it and send to me. Thanks, but the one you are talking about sounds very pretty to me too. Oh dear, what am I going to do with all my babies? I hate to give up my own bed!!

Shirley,
Could you post a url of where you saw that info as I would love to have one of Lee's doubles in color. I searched his website a bit but perhaps I am lookng in the wrong place. Currently only have the Herrenhauser Garten.

Eric,

It is listed in Native Habitat Ethnobotanicals Volume XVII 2001. Other than what I wrote in the above post, all I can say is that the price is $30. It is listed on page 7 of this little catalog.

Hope this helps.

Shirley

You've got mail......

Shoot, Can't remember if I have an older Volume. All I can say is I have seen a few of Lee's hybrids in person and he has some that are to die for. Course he wasn't giving them out when I saw them for sale or for begging. Time to get a newer Catalogue from Lee. Thanks for the Update Brugie. Seems I take a breather and all sorts of wonderful new releases escape me.
