CLOSED: HAVE: Canna Lily 'Moonshine'
Kim,
What are you looking for in trade? I'm trying to grow my collection of Cannas but have had several years when they did not store well. .. still working on my "system". I've attached a pic of one -I don't know the name but it is a dark watermelon pink with dark foliage-not real tall.
I don't have a lot of outstanding Daylilies especially this year with the drought but I do have some nice ones !!
I also have lots of gardening books on various subjects and a lot of other plants so let me know what plants you like, colors you like etc!! Thanks, MWhit
I'm still working on my 'system' too...LOL. But I think I have another plan for this year. I lost one which I haven't been able to find again :-(
Actually I'm looking for Full Sun perennials and rudbeckia's.
Hi Kim,
Are you interested in Bearded Iris in trade? They tolerate full sun in my desert local pretty well, LMK if you're interested.
Aweeee I'm sorry. I should have added. No iris, daylilies, or lilies.
I have some of these, if you would be interested for maybe canna or strawberries? I'm not sure what they are called but I know they are rudbeckia. I'm just not certain if they are perennial or annual? they kind of look like the flower on this sight though http://www.landscapedia.info/plant.php?plantID=30883.
They are very pretty....but I'll need to know the species and if the are annual or perennial.
Sorry all I know about them is the seed seller on ebay had them marker as Gloriosa Daisy and "Rudbeckia Hirta" in parenthesis. I don't know if they are chocolate or something else.
I have tall, white summer phlox "David" which is mildew resistant, has a nice "honey-like" scent and blooms in mid to late summer. It is a full sun perennial and spreads gradually with underground runners. I also have a magenta phlox-see attached pic-no pic of the white that I can find but it is very nice.
I have several NOID herbacious peonies if you want something earlier or with more color and some nice starts of Rose of Sharon if you are looking for height (these will be shrub/bush size at maturity-see pic).
I also have some Clustered Bellflower -(see pic)-very pretty blue blooms in early to mid summer-these reseed and will spread but are easy to weed out extras if need be.
I am trying to increase my rudbeckias from the usual magenta and white- I've picked up a couple of nice pink ones-can't think of names right now- but I lost a new Coconut Lime- I think that was the name- to the god-awful heat and dryness this summer. That made me sad!
If you want a nice edger I have a very old cultivar of coral bells that I was given forty years ago. As it grew I divided and spread it along the fronts of my flowerbeds. It is the first flower in my yard that the hummers go to! It has light green foliage and medium pink flowers. It is practically indestuctable-our dog used to run through it and come out with little pink flowers all through his fur!
Let me know if any of these sound good to you. Thanks, MWhit
I have canna sweet gypsy and tall pink phlox if you are interested. I would love to have a canna moonshine.
also have mulberry ruffles lavender
