Im not sure where to post this (and if I am breaking any rules here please let me know)
I am collecting donations for flood victims in the Duluth, MN area. Have collected mostly clothing thus far. Then I though about all the destruction to property and what a chore that will be to rebuild and I though of the wonderful 'family' I have here.
I would like to put a feeler out there to find out how many people would be interested in sending trees, plants or seeds to people who lost everything in the floods. Time frame I am guessing would be next spring (April/May 2013). I would obtain addresses of people who need and provide shipping information to anyone here who would like to help out. Shipments would go directly to flood victims who are rebuilding (not to me).
Postage would *potentially* be tax deductible - just save your receipt.
If you are interested in helping out - please d-mail me with a subject line of "Duluth".
Again - right now this is only an idea of mine - dont know if it will come to fruition or not - and this is a "feeler" post just to get an idea of who here may be willing to help.
I know we all have things we want to thin out - instead of composting it - donate it :)
Thanks all!

We all belong to DG because we love our gardens so there's no way I couldn't be a part of bringing some joy to others who were so stricken with the floods.
