SAWS in their weekly SIP email stated that Moy Grande hibiscus should be pruned back the first of August for September blooms. I have never done this-does anyone have any guidelines regarding how much and where to make the cuts? Thanks!

SAWS(San Antonio Water System), SIP(Seasonal Irrigation Program), though I'm not sure they use that acronym anymore.
Thanks. When you prune it, I'll pay for you to send me cuttings, if you would be willing. I would think this should be a very light pruning since it is being done to induce another bloom.
