Three years after it popped out of the ground as a seedling.
Three year old Peach seed
Oh yummmm....fresh peaches! Nothing beats a fresh from the tree peach with juice running down your face and arm!
Wow!! that sure was quick, I didn't think they could make fruit at such an early age.
I planted some seed last fall and now have 9 seedlings growing and all are over 4 feet tall >>> Now here is the bad news i did not seperate the peachseeds from some nectarines i had also been munching and had saved all the seeds in a little basket so in my starter garden I have these beautiful plants and can't tell the peaches from the nectarines Got any helpfull hints for me >>CONFUSED
I'd love to know the variety of such a fast growing peach. Do you know its name?
jujube did you have to chill the seeds to get them to germinate??
It was just a seed left outside. I have no idea watch type of Peach it came from but they dont come true to seed.
I have a pond and irrigation at my land.
Well, it looks like it inherited some decent qualities, congrats! Cobbler time!
I don't want to run your awesome peaches too off topic, but have few questions. Would you mind explaining your filtration system. What kind of filtration do you have sunk into pond? Do you use a second filter right before the irrigation lines? If so, did you use a residential filter or go with commercial? Is the filter 200 mesh? How often do you have to clean the filters? Did you see any reason to order extra filters? thx!
I use the ponds at my land to irrigate trees.
I just use poly 3/4 irrigation with no filtration. I just use a gas powered trash pump. It can pump about 100 gallons a minute.
Is that what you were asking about?
I used to have a pond at the house with fish but I turned that into a garden area.
I am going to plant all the seeds after I refrigerate them for a few months.
That would definitely work. Graft around March or when the stock just starts to bud out.
