I am in love with day lillys, and have started my collection this year. I took a chance and purchased some on ebay. "Blueridgebuttons" a seller on ebay sells very very healthy lilly's.
I purchased this one for 90.00

copy & paste the above link as I cant make it a link on here I don't think...
It has a light pink edging and a very pretty light blue inner cicle edged in drker shade of pink then there is inner yellow throat..multiple colors that you hardly ever see...
They arrived in 5 days and were in super shape. I de say the best seller on the internet. However I wont know until next summer once they bloom, so Im praying that they shipped the correct one..lol...at that price they better have. I purchased mine for 90.00...I had a crazy insane minute,,Im sure they would have what you want. They have some much less also. Just a heads up for you to see.
I just wanted to share my experience with them...they also ship extra bonus lillys with each order.
Martha
good luck with your search. I do not have what you are looking for ..not yet at least.
thanks
whew $90, they better have shipped some extra fans!!!!
ridoodles..... that DL is very pretty but too high priced. It is a 2006 , it should of been somewhere around $40 at most. Blueridge give big healthy fans but they are not known for dropping their prices when a daylily is a bit older.
Marietta Gardens is selling it for $22 and Floyd Cove Nursery is selling it for $35, http://daylilies.net is selling it for $39. and http://www.flourishingdaylilies.com has it listed for $35 also.
I like it!
ooooo, pretty
pixie62560 I am new at daylillies , I liked the reviews, and yes they sent big healthy plants with many extra daylilly's, I didnt know about these other places to get them. Have you ordered from these companies? Oh well I really hope it is what I think it is as it wont bloom until next summer? I hope & pray. that is the trouble with purchasing, I don't understand why they wont send up shoots now... Should I ferterlize it to encourage good roots for next yr, if so what kind would work. I have miracle grow for tomatoes would that work ?
ridoodles, yes, those are all good places to buy from. Daylilies are really tough cookies, you need not treat them special, although they won't mind a fertilizer every now and again. :)
Jen, my Vera Biaglow just had its first bloom today, and it is a stunning shade of bright pink. I will try to postma photo of it tomorrow. I bought it last year at Davis Brook Farm's bare root sale in August and had no real idea what it would look like sine the photos don't always tell the tale. It is gorgeous, as are the ones others have posted above. Celeste, my New Hampshire Heaven that you gave me also just had its first blooms today. Gorgeous as well!! Thanks!
Ok, thanks Louise
Wow! What a choice you have, Jen! I think you could a whole pink garden! Those are all gorgeous, Celeste. I wondered what Pixie Beauty would look like. Sweet!
ooooooo 'Rock Solid' and 'Kalahari Jewel' my favs
I agree, Jen....they are stunning....
Love Woodside Romance!
And I like them all!
OH my so do I!!
Chance Encounter and Peppermint Pinwheel and Bridgeton Hoopla are the standouts in that group
I'm looking for the hottest pink, that makes you go WOW
ya like that
Me too!
Ooh, I think I have to have Autumn Serenade!
What would be considered a great fertilizer for daylilly's? What have you found to work well?
ridoodles, I just wanted to give you a heads up on Blueridge Daylilies. I've purchased a LOT from him and he is very good. He also lists his lilys on Blooming Auction.com . If I see one on e-bay that I really like, I always check his price on the Blooming Auction.
I've purchased from other vendors and none of them send as big a plant as Bob Selman does and others do not send all the "freebies" like he does either. I've always had good luck on his plants with no problems whatsoever, except this last order I placed.
I purchased Mean As A Snake, and my post office lost the box. He shipped out a new order to me to replace my order, but did not have Mean As A Snake any more! If you like unusual forms, check out THINGAMABOB. It is a gorgeous red ufo AND expensive too! LOL
Linda
Ridoodles, I sprinkle on Shake & Feed in the spring & they do well with that.....I've found DLs bloom well, unless the clump is too large.....Linda, sounds like a great vendor....thanks.....
I don't fertilize them
Me either really, compost and a drink of miracle grow in the summer thats it.
Linda, I too have bought from Blue R many times and they do send great fans and bonus fans, so do many others. I was only pointing out that you can often find what your looking for cheaper. My only advice was to "SHOP AROUND' as far as prices go.
'Strawberry Yum' not a very good picture, only had it 2 years, this is what it should look like.
