The plants still look healthy - no signs of any brown spots, etc. on the leaves, but look at what's "on" my tomatoes.
Or is that "in" my tomatoes?
They get watered every day. I've already harvested enough to make about 8 pints of sauce (and over two gallons of juice). But those tomatoes didn't look like these! Every single variety of tomato that I have (except for the B-B tomatoes) has this appearance now. Roma, Bella Rosa, Granadero, Momma Mia.
Will they still be edible once ripened? Is the heat causing this? It almost looks like their cells have burst inside or something.
Thanks for any help!
What's wrong with my tomaotes?
The heat is causing this.
Tomatoes like nights in the 60's.
Thanks, jujube. Now.. will they still be edible? Or should I just yank all the plants out? (And start some seeds for the fall garden.)
BTW - apologies for misspelling "tomatoes" in the title. I didn't check it after I typed it, and I don't think the spellchecker on here checks the titles of threads for misspelled words. LOL
When mine start to get like that, I wait until they are about to start changing color but are still green and i pickle them. Yummy!!!
Care to share your pickling recipe?
