Help with Id

I see large colony of this purple flower here in SE Oklahoma I am leaning toward Centaurea americana so HELP

I think it is Centaurea although the flowers seem larger and the leaves smaller than the ones around here.

Jo that particular colony had larger flowers that what I normally see which is one reason I stopped..
