Could you please post a close up of the flower .. from the picture it looks like what you have is the Peanut Butter Shrub, Clerodendrum trichotomum which is hardy zone 6 to zone 9.

The Peanut Butter Tree is Bunchosia argentea and only hardy in zones 10 and above and from a completely different Family.

I'd be interested in the Clerodendrum
Anne, I am sure you already are aware of it, but this C. trichotomum is EXTREMELY invasive - as bad as bungii in our zone.
No I wasn't! Thanks for the warning .. I got a bungei and was told it's invasive so it's consigned forever to a large screened (so roots can't escape) pot .. my C. thomsoniae, myracoides and incisa aka Rotheca aren't proving to be invasive .. but then again they aren't in the ground. The trichotomum flowers are interesting. I actually have all my possible escapees in one place and keep an eagle eye on them by cutting off all the spent blooms and bagging a few for seeds.
Traded :) Thanks!
Please mark it 'closed' - thanks!
