Gardens going crazy???

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

Anyway - is everyone's garden going crazy? I was in Victoria, BC all last summer, so I wasn't gardening at all. This year EVERYTHING is bigger - and lots more of 'em.

For instance, my lilies all seem to have decided to replicate themselves everywhere. Suddenly, I have baby lillies all over the place.

Once I get through the June "uglies" (waiting for the daffodils to finally die back) I will give the gardens a thorough cleeaning - and I will show you pictures of what I mean.

Welcome back! My iris are done, had a magnificent iris year, and I am waiting for the daylilies to come through. All this precip has also given me humungous sized hosta. All of them, even the minis have grown and spread.
On the serious side, was your property affected by the tornado?

I've never had larger clems or roses.....the hostas are huge as well.....DLs are blooming already.....

No - our property was not affected by the tornado - but it was close! About 3 city blocks as the crow flies. I was in Victoria, British Columbia for the summer, so when I was told there had been a tornado - I didn't believe it. I had to check with CNN first! When I came back in mid-August, I didn't recognize many parts of Springfield - so many buildings, homes, and trees were destroyed.

The October snowstorm left us without electricity for 9 days . . . . Still, we have a remote control natural gas fireplace, a natural gas water heater, and a natural gas stove, so we were able to shower, cook, and stay warm. But no lights, radio, tv, computer . . . . ^_^

My hostas are HUGE! My roses started blooming two weeks early (well, actually everything is early!)

You were very lucky to have escaped that tornado.....it was an ugly one.....
