This is my cuckoo silkie rooster,he is almost 6 months old,I have in with three blue girls,hoping for eggs soon.Can`t wait for breeding and eggs to start so I can have cuckoo babies.The second pic is when he was a baby

What a handsome fellow! Will the cucoo coloration appear in the first generation?
If I understand it right yes,if he breeds solid colored hens I will get a few cuckoo`s,not good at understanding genetics.The cuckoo is still a work in progress,the comb is way to bright and the skin is not black as it should be in silkies,but I don`t care I think they are nice to look at.

Using the "Chicken Calculator" your cross should produce about half black barred and half blue barred chicks.
They should all be quite attractive!
And this is my blue orpington rooster,he is four months old
