Is the Pacific Foxtail / Alopecurus saccatus dangerous

for pets to play or lounge around? I ask because of what I read:

I am wondering if what that quoted text (above) is actually not at all an accurate statement for the true Pacific Foxtail / Alopecurus saccatus! I've never noticed any problem with it & our dogs (I have been propagating it little by little) ... but I know that the BARLEY Foxtails CAN be TERRIBLE!
