what bugs is this ? tons of them in my fruit garden, eating away the leaves. what method to deal with it. organically

This is a weevil in the subfamily Entiminae (short-snouted weevils); the notched leaf-margin feeding is characteristic. You might try Neem oil - http://www.plant-care.com/pest-control-without-pesticides.html
