The leaves on my rusty blackhaw viburnum are turning red. While this is pretty and it looks like fall, it doesn't seem like a good sign for it to be doing this in early summer. Does anyone know what could cause this?

I don't have any viburnum, but I've noticed a few other things doing the same thing, just on a few branches. I'm interpreting it as the plants got a little overly enthusiastic during the lovely rainy spring, and are now cutting themselves back. fwiw
