cats on baptisia

Manning, SC(Zone 8a)

I've never had caterpillars on my baptisia before, but right now it's covered! I can't find any info on the net about what specific cats these might be, there's mention of clouded sulphurs and other butterflies but I can't find specifics. Can anyone help identify!

Looks like Genista moth.... http://davesgarden.com/guides/bf/go/4853/ I had them on my necklace pod a couple of moths ago.

Thanks Russell, I looked it up and it looks like you're probably right. I don't think I really want them defoliating and webbing up my baptisia but I would feel guilty killing them. But will letting them do their thing kill my plant? It's already bloomed this season, but I want it around for years to come!

I doubt they will kill the plant unless they are infesting it. I had about 10 on my necklace pod and they did very little damage. I just left them alone. The plant has already recovered. Good luck with them.
