Hi Austin!! Welcome to Dave's Garden! So glad you're here and can learn all about the plants you got at the RU, as well as lots of other stuff.
Welcome Austin, and a Happy Belated Birthday!
Welcome to Dave's Austin, I hope you will be a very fruitful gardener,
Josephine.
So Austin, what do you enjoy growing?
This year is my first year to do any kind of garden of my own. I have a vegetable garden and then I have different kinds of plants.
Talk to ya' later!
Austin
You're a man of few words , why don't you tell us your age , and some things about you so we can feel like we know you a little better ? Pretty please ?
BTY , Austin is one of the names I submitted to my grand daughter when she was having my first great grand child .(She lives in the N Austin area ) Gee , I'm getting old !
Austin and his sister received MANY great plants at the north central texas RU his grandmother hosted. Lots of natives and some veggies if I remember correctly.
I am 15. I like being outdoors more than anything! This is my first year to really get into gardening and plants! :)
You are 15! I am impressed. I've got a 16 yr old son and my youngest son is almost 15 and he's been helping me his entire life. Im surprised how much gardening has helped him in school, especially in science. What's your favorite veggie to grow?
Post a picture .
Looks like you're being adoped by a bunch of D G'ers .
Just to clarify--Maddy (Madeline) is Austin's cousin, not his sister. They're best buds. I have four sons, and two of them (Austin and Maddy's dads) live in Midlothian, just one street apart and are very close. I have other granddaughters Maddy's age, but they don't live close, so Austin and Mason (one of Maddy's brothers) have been her playmates, as they've all grown up, especially out here at our place.
Did I tell it right, Austin?
Gran, yes I believe you told it right! :)
Great picture ! You look older than 15 . It's easy to tell both of you have a love of the outdoors .
Close friendship between kinfolk is something very special that can be a lifelong bond . You guys hang in there and nurture that bond .
Does Chelsea share your interest in growing plants and do you lean towards flowers and shrubs or vegetables ? I like flowering shrubs that have a scent.I have several viburnum that smell heavenly when they bloom , and gardenia in both the back and front yard .The strongest scent is dianthus (cheddar) , that gives a spicy scent all over the yard when we have a gentle breeze . I just got a jasmine (white confederate ) that will go over an arbor this fall .
Ooooh Digger, I can almost smell your scrumptious yard.
I'm trying Sybram
I think I'm more into gardening than she is. I like vegetable gardening and plant gardens. I also have a younger brother, Parker, he is a football player. He looks older than me because he is taller and bigger than me.
Bet he isn't as cute . (that comes from a 73 year old great gramma ) LOL
