During the winter I did not get many visitors to my feeders for some reason.
Spring is a entirely different matter. Birds are flocking to my lot and feeders.
Why?
I have no idea, but I surely am enjoying them now!
Spring flock
I don't understand our birds' patterns of coming and going. It is quite baffling at times and can only guess they have a food source elsewhere. We had a fairly active winter, but we are having more active spring with different birds.
Beautiful photos. I do like those Mourning Doves.
Spring is often a hard time for birds, particularly seed-eaters; last autumn's supply which kept them going through the winter is finally finished, and the new crop isn't ready yet.
