I received a pass along plant from a friend today that is amazingly sweet, like stevia, without the bitter aftertaste. She said it is called azteca, but I have not been able to find much on the net about it. I found Aztec Goldenbush (isocoma azteca), but very little info and no pics to compare to what I have. Has anyone heard of or grown this plant/herb? I may be able to post a pic tomorrow if the transplants perk up a bit.

The aztec sweet herb blooms reminded me of the frog fruit that grows wild at our place in Blanco.

That is interesting on the similar plant. Have you sampled its' leaf for sweetness?
Hmm, no I haven't tried it for sweetness. I have read quite a bit about it and no one has mentioned that attribute. I will see if I can work up the nerve to tast it!
