Several are apparently nesting in my yard, come to feeders constantly. Fledgling are being feed at feeders as well.
CLOSED: Is this a sparrow ?
Looks like a House Finch to me. They readily come to feeders. I am awaiting the first batch of young to come. They are adorable.
Always a bit of a challenge to distinguish between the red finches. This one is a male Purple Finch, I believe. The House Finch looks very similar but has a brown cap.
edit: On second thought, it is a bit hard to tell from the angle, but there might be a brown cap there, so Chilly could be correct.

I chose House over Purple based on a range map I looked at. In Iowa Purples are only here in the winter. :)
Ditto to House Finch, male.
Purple Finch doesn't have those brown streaks on the flanks
