I have heard about Epsom salts for tomatoes and peppers. I can't find out how much or how often though.
Does anyone use this, and what is the method you use?
thanks
Epsom Salts
I don't use Epsom Salt in my garden, but I did find this for you. http://www.epsomsaltcouncil.org/garden/
That's very kind of you. Thank you
I mix up a planting hole mix of 2c EP, 2c worm castings, 2c Dolomite Lime for my tomatoes. Sprinkle a liberal handful into the hole. For the peppers, swap 2c rock phosphate for the lime.
I also sprinkle a lb. of EP on my lawn periodically, to green it up.

my grandfather in Italy used Epson Salt on his plants and they did great !
I kept up family traditions here in the USA.
Right now, I am using one tbsp of Epson Salt on my tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, cukes and okra every other week.
It must be working because I always harvest more than I could eat !
This picture was taken yesterday ...
Drthor, are you just applying the 1T to the plant, or mixing it in water? Or some other way?
Sprinkle it around the plant, then water it in.

I apply one tbsp of Epson at the base of the plant.
That's it !
My veggie garden is watered by a soaker hose on a timer. I just wait for the water to go on automatically ...
That's easy enough, thanks!
Katherine
