what I found

Arlington, TX

Went in search of some nice sized and blooming cone flowers to fill in where I ripped out all the untidy mess of seedlings but could not find any. I stopped at Calloway's (not my first choice) and they had none but they did have a very nice selection of large native perennials. There were a couple I wanted but settled on Scuttelaria wrightii. They weren't cheap but nice.
there were a dozen or more interesting plants, in case anyone else wants to look.
I never did find large, blooming cone flowers which in the past I saw all the time...

What a nice score, Cheryl!! I hope it does well for you and you have plenty to share in the future. :)

Cheryl, I could've brought you several coneflowers at the RU! I have them growing like weeds in my flower bed from the seeds I scattered 3 years ago. If you still need some, I'd be happy to share at the fall RU.

Thanks for that but I was just trying to make things look instantly pretty for a party coming up. I guess I wanted instant gratification. I might take you up on the offer this fall.
