lots of Milkweed growing here right now it is a very short plant when I first moved to Oklahoma i thought something was off about the plant as I was used to tall(2-3ft) so I finally looked it up and discovered the were mumerous specie of it...The seedpods are edible when young but like lots of other edible plants you have to pre boil it and throw out the first water and wind up with a very poor Okra substitute .LOL I will just wait not so long now till the OKRIE will be coming on ,YAY

That green Milkweed is very nice, great to have for the monarch and Queen butterflies.

I find milkweeds fascinating! Great pics!

If it makes seeds, save some. I am very interested in growing milkweeds for the monarchs.
