I thought the first one was an oriole, but it looks like the orioles posted in this forum are different from this one, so I'm not sure. Also, the momma with her two fledglings, is this a thrush? I did a google image search & they do look similar, but I can't find one with yellow around the eyes like this momma, so I'm not sure. Thanks!
These were taken in my yard in NC.
Anyone know what these are? Oriole? Thrush?
Ok. I guess it's not an oriole, but a rose breasted grosbeak? Awesome! I wish it would come back. :)
Yep, Rose-breasted Grosbeak for #1
#2 are Brown Thrashers, an adult and two fledged young

Beautiful photos of the Rose Breasted Grosbeak and Brown Thrashers. I only see these birds during spring migration so I'm really enjoying your photos.

You are either very good or very lucky the Brown Thasher are such secretive birds a shot like your's is a once in a lifetime thing I see them a lot but they prefer the thick privet around my yard which generally buts them in deep shadows
