So nice, Josephine.

Gorgeous pictures, Josephine. Everything looks so refreshing. I especially love the wine cup bed, did you plant many of them, or did they reseed on their own?

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Thank you everybody, the winecups were the first year for me, I received many baby plants from a friend and they did great in the bed where they get partial sun, I am hoping they will reseed for me, so I will have plenty to share.
The primroses and phlox did great too.
It has been a lot of work but very much worth it.

More pretty views! What are the yellow flowers in the backyard pics?

Beaumont, TX(Zone 9a)

Josephine,
Lovely garden and those winecups! I planted some from seeds and they are not nearly so lush and beautiful. Maybe they're in the wrong spot (full sun)?

I love that purple!!!!!!!!!!

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

The yellow are Columbines and the purple Phlox pilosa. The columbines got over 4 feet tall, unfortunately the spider mites sucked the life out of them early so I had to cut them back. They were all absolutely beautiful, they will be back.

The wine cups are in mostly sun and they were little plants from a friend, I am amazed at how well they have done.
I had tried before to grow them but they were too crowded and never did much, sun and space are they requirements.
Josephine.

Beautiful, Josephine (as are you)!! Your plants and your lawn are amazing. Your passion and dedication are on display and obviously rewarded. How did you get your Mist Flower to bloom so soon? Mine never bloom until late in the summer. I'll bet your plants are loving this rain. :-)

What a wonderful oasis. Hopefully it will inspire your neighbours to plant more natives.

What does your slope look like now, Josephine?

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Thank you Carla and Anna, I hope to have people over sometime when I get my act together.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Stephanie, the slope doesn't look as good as I would like, I had to redo the front part of it, and I wanted to rearrange the plants but I ran out of time before the heat set in and had to stop working on moving plants around, so I will have to wait till fall to do that.

It still looks nice but not what I had planned, I have the plants waiting in gallon pots that came from the bed where the winecups are, and will have to water them all through the summer, so that won't be fun.

I hope to finish the redo this fall, it has been a lot of work and a lot of fun too. We shall see how it goes.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks for the update on that! I always enjoy seeing your pics of the slope.

I love how each time I see your yard, something else is making it's debut! Love the winecups! I know you have struggled to get the changes that the city requested done, but it doesn't show in the yard, it is beautiful!

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Thank you Sheila, It wasn't easy but I think I have accomplished what they requested, and still have it look good.
