Anyone remember the oldie but goodie Taylor Dawn?

Fort Lauderdale, FL(Zone 10b)

Here is one of the real oldies. I doubt many people are still growing this one but this is probably one of the oldest brugs in my collection...i have had this one for many years...I believe this to be one of the early german imports from Herenhauser Gartens. She finally outgrow any pot i had, so two years ago i put her in the ground....she has petite blooms but has blooms on her almost year round here....definitely the type of brug i like growing because she blooms like crazy, i never have to spray her and i just fertilize when i fertilize everything else....a carefree brug...what more can you ask for?
She may be gone from many collections but for me she is a staple in my collection.

Pretty........never heard of it, but looks like something I "need". LOL

My favorite pink is Susanne. Huge, fragrant blooms.

Wow, Gary! I like the color she achieves in your climate. I had one at one time, but her blooms were pale by comparison. I've had two mass death of Brugs because of health issues and she was one of the casualties.

I enjoy seeing photos of your Brugs. If I had access to millions, I would have a glass dome built over my garden to do three things: keep snakes and grasshoppers out and condition the air for my Brugs. LOL Moving from a zone 9b to a zone 8b is hard on a plant lover's psyche. I've been here 10 years and I still can't get used to it.

i can imagine that kind of a zone change can be pretty traumatic. I love living in zone 10b...i can plant right in the ground but only with serious soil preparation....soil is so sandy here.....I have so much going on here right now...I just need to add more yellows and whites....the pinks are a natural for here....this is my yard this afternoon
...Taylor Dawn isn't even in this picture, she is off to the right with a heavy flush of MEM and Santa Rosa...the camera lens is only just so wide :{

Wow , your yard looks fabulous Gary !! Our weather was really cool early Spring and now it has turned hot so I haven't hardly had any Spring blooms this year.
