does anyone here grow it? If so...is it any different from coral nymph? in the pics on my computer it looks basically the same....here is a link:

Wow, it's really pretty! Some of the flowers looked the same to me when I looked up coral nymph but some of them looked more orangey than the pink salvia. Hey, you could get one of each and see the difference!

That picture looks much like Coral Nymph. But I think one can never have too much Coral Nymph. :-)

ha ha ha. that is probably true! I think I will order some seeds. not sure where I could find the plants.

Salvia coccinea is really easy to grow from seed. If you do purchase plants, you won't need many, they'll reseed.They come in all shades white to red and some bi-colors. However, they are promiscuous and will readily cross with any other S. coccinea. I don't think that's a bad thing, unless your trying to keep up with a color theme.
