Female Tropical Parula pays a visit!

The male Tropical Parula is nowhere to be found but this little lady Parula paid us a visit! Both are firsts for me. She ate whenever the Golden-fronted woodpeckers didn't. I took this photo earlier this year.

The Parula maybe rare and cute, but that woodpecker is amazing, what a beautiful bird"!!

I agree. It is delightful to see all the birds that are not indigenous to our area. We have many types of Woodpeckers but I've not seen such a close up photo of that one. It is gorgeous.

Here's a couple of pics I just took a few minutes ago. I let a few "weed" sunflowers grow in my garden just for goldfinches to feed on. Put your antler sheds to good use!
