I saw this yellow and black insect on a squash flower today and tried identifying it, but had no luck. It is similar to the photos I saw of Cucumber Beetles, but the pattern is all wrong. I thought it could be a type of Longhorn Beetle, but again, it really only is similar in color rather than pattern. Can anyone help me out here? My garden is organic and I'm okay with a few 'bad' bugs being there as long as there are good guys also...but if this is in fact a Cucumber Beetle, what I've read about them today tells me I need to get rid of him FAST! Any help is appreciated.
Incidentally, if it helps, I am in South Texas, zone 9. Also, there is no apparent damage to my squash plants, but my nearby radishes have holes in the leaves, but are still looking vigorous and healthy.
