It has been awful here on my little hill in east texas....for days on end. some of my stuff just looks whipped that doesn't have any breaks from the incessant blowing. Today, as I was sitting on the front porch I heard a big CREAK from the trees out in front of the house. Some big limbs are already on the ground...afraid that tomorrow the forecasted 30 mph winds will go ahead and bring down what was creaking. Some of the trees are in bad shape from the drought. So.....has it been windy where you live?
On a side note...was looking out the front window this afternoon and spied a coyote in my yard. I think from the way he was acting he had his eye on my cat. Hubby ran out the door and scared him off.

This is an interesting link on wind, especially to watch when the storms move through. If you hold the cursor over areas on the map, it tells the wind speed too.
Windy here too & it is really drying the soil out quickly.
Very interesting link podster! And yes...really drying out the soil. We have missed the last 3 rains. Told hubby thank goodness for what we have had though. Last summer when the winds hit and it was so dry, I think half our county was on fire. Will be interesting to see what our summer will be like this year.
