Dr, I have so many weeds in my garden and yard it's not even funny! If I don't recognize it, I yank it. LOL

grits74571 ... maybe it is a Greenbriar vine.
But I never did find thorns ... hummm

It is all over, even in the grass ...

East Texas, TX

we have something like this popping up in my beds and out in the yard. I am like stephanie...so many weeds this year it isn't funny. in fact...half our front yard is completely bare. hubby took a wild hair and put out weed and feed...well...apparantly half the grass was weed,lol......now it is just dirt. hope someone knows what this is you have so mystery can be solved for the rest of us also.

got out today and looked. I have these all over too. I wish someone knew what they were.

I am so sick and tired of weeds, I am spraying the entire front yard with Round Up. In the fall I plant to broadcast two pounds of Wildflower seeds!

Since you are in a large city Sylvia, they may require you to mow the wildflowers just at their peak. When not in bloom they look like tall grass to non-gardening neighbors.

You dont say!!! Then I will put up a sign saying something ... in honor of Lady Bird Johnson?
lol I saw them growing in the median at a strip mall over on Marsh and Walnut hill. Its where I got the idea. I thought it was soo kewl. I am going to take a picture next time I am over that way.

Houston Heights, TX(Zone 9a)

I have that vine too and I think it is saw briers. Ive seen 3 or 4 and have no idea where they came from.
