A bottle of fish emulsion was broken open so I got another container for it but now after washing my hands for the 2nd time and smelling and checking my clothes for splatters of emulsion, etc. I still smell it!!! How long will it linger in my olafactory bulb ??? Whiffs of it drifts around me....

Strike a match! Light a candle! Simmer some vinegar, cinnamon, cloves, allspice, and ginger on the stove to help get the smell out.
That is why I have started wearing gloves whenever I work with anything with fish emulsion in it...
If you can stand it, bleach gets it out of your hands pretty well.
If it's on your hands, try rubbing a lemon on it.
My dogs would be following you for days =)! I just can't use the fish emulsion anymore....I've switched to the kelp emulsion or the water soluble Mills Magic (which does have some FE in it, but diluted w/other product). There are a couple of things my dogs just won't leave alone. Fish emulsion and anything w/guano or bat quano in it.
Good luck getting that stuff off your hands. The fish emulsion odor really bothers me so I feel your pain!
Silly me! Since I was sitting in front of the computer and couldn't see my ankle which had fish emulsion splattered on it. LOL
Washed it off and my hands again...thanks for all the advice:) And I will wear gloves and look all around me...
