I have raspberry plants for postage. They are first year and they will take another year to make berries. The berries are all red and either lathem or heritage. This was a mixed bed that I am clearing out to make room for black raspberries. They are perfect size now for shipping in flat rate priority envelopes. I can fit at least 3 plants in each envelope. I can also do a bubble mailer with first class but I think only two will fit in there to make the 13 oz weight. I have 25 plants in total that need to find a new home. I took a picture of them so you can see the size they are now. I will keep the post updated as they go. Thanks!
CLOSED: Red Raspberry Plants for Postage I Have Only 25 plants
Thanks aspenjocop and Brenda_C! There are 13 plants left.
Sending you d-mail
Thanks demonshollow! There are 10 plants left.
All have been taken thanks!
Has anyone heard from or received their plants from caderacres?
Thanks!
Connie
BUMP
Have not heard since the 21st..presumably I was to have the last 10 but no response to my questions on private d-mail thread...confusing, but sometimes life intrudes into trading.
You are so right on life Mary Ann!!! I was to get 10 also and I have paid her the postage. Seems like a very sweet lady. I heard from her April 30 and she told me she had already mailed the others out and mine was going out that day or the next. No response to my message I sent her back on the same day and nothing since, no box came. I do hope she is well along with her family. She is no longer signed up with DG so that was why I asked if anyone else heard from or received their box that she said was sent.
Thanks so much for your update!!
Connie
Hummm...
I mailed her my end of our trade April 13, have never received her end, nor does she answer D-mails. I have sent her 3 so far, just trying to check in. I understand that life happens, but it doesn't take much to send a message or reply to one.
holllysmamma, I am so very sorry this has happened to you also. I see you are new here and I know that is not a good way to start off your membership :( Please know you are not alone on this one and these things don't happen on a regular basis.
I will tell you that most of us are honest, plant loving and friendly people. Dave's Garden and their moderators are wonderful!! I looked on your haves and wants. Maybe we can make it a little better for ya. I grow lots of Gesneriads and maybe we could do a good trade. I don't have the raspberries though LOL!!!
Connie
Well thank you. I honestly do hope that nothing happened to her or her family, sometimes life has a way of interfering with trades. I have done it before, where I completely forgot about a trade for a month or two and someone writes and I am completely flabbergasted that I forgot (I did it once, I will admit it. Corrected it ASAP though). I know they don't happen regularly, I have done lots of wonderful trades since I signed up here. I would love to work out a trade with you! D-mail me and let me know what you were interested in.
I am also one that is still waiting with no response to any of my emails or dmail. My last email from her was on the 28th of April. She said she was mailing out the following monday which would have been the 30th of april. Although I hope nothing bad has happened , I had given up and just assumed I had been burned for the money since it has happened to me before. I will not send out such a large amount again ( A large amount for our budget any way, every one has their own idea of what is a large amount). Tim just lost his job and we need every penny until he can find work.
Well, that just about sums it up for everyone. Please read the message I posted for hollysmamma. You haven't been here too awfully long yourself. We are in the same boat as you are right now job wise. Economy is hard on us all. There really are lots of wonderful people on here :) I would like to ask you something if you don't mind. I will send you a d-mail.
Connie
With her telling me she had already sent the others theirs and mine was going out that day or the next day...we aren't getting it. MaryAnn, did you just send her postage? Please d-mail me if you did.
Connie
demonshollow, how are those seeds working out for you? I have some raspberry seeds that I can send you, if you would like them. I received them in a trade, so not sure if they will germinate, but you could always give them a try.
Hi, Connie...no, I didn't send postage. Whenever I reimburse postage, I wait until I receive the box to determine the amount of postage. Then I use Paypal so if something is not quite right, Paypal will track for the funding. It is part of that whole % that we pay to Paypal -- secure transactions.
Cedar and I were discussing a trade of plants, but I am not as quick as some of you younger ones are...sometimes it takes me a bit to get the box, plants, etc. moving into shipment phase...so we weren't there as yet, but I had pulled her plants from the growing beds. From her reviews, she seems to have a good record of positives until around the first of May, then nothing.
I do have some plants and even some iris if anyone is interested, I will be happy to work out a trade....
Gotcha :)
She did have good reviews and some were from members I have dealt with. Thought it was safe but I should have taken a second look at that 3 month subscription. Needed to get some raspberries in my yard lol
I think we all understand...the plant is the thing! LOL
Wish I had raspberries to send you...just a few odd bodkins of permaculture left from the season's grow-out.
Hollysmomma, the seeds are a big help to us , thank you again, I will check your wants list and see if I have something from your list to trade with you for the raspberry seeds. If they don't germ. It is fine, I suspect that they may need stratification just like blackberries and if so , they will go out this fall/winter with a few of the tree seeds I have managed to come up with.
Liz
