Hi, I've noticed this past week that the mint leaves have little holes in them and this morning I noticed tiny black balls all over the top of the leaves. They looked like tiny seeds. I did spray them off with the hose. The plants are in containers on my deck. Would love to get rid of whatever it is but need an orgainc solution as I will be eating the mint.

Sounds like some kind of caterpillar and the little black balls are it's poop! I'm also seeing various caterpillars eating my plants. Got 2 tomato hornworms eating my bell pepper leaves. Got a brown one with black stripes that was eating my hibiscus. They're not eating anything anymore...If you have time, look under the leaves very carefully and you might see the offender! Janet

Ha! I just found a little green worm on my potted orange mint! Glad I looked!
