This year will be the worst year for hoppers in about a dozen years. Last year was awful, this year will be worst. I just was out walking around in an area I mowed yesterday looking at a fire ant mound I mowed, the ants were going crazy with all the little bitty GHs stiring them up. So small I had to get down on my hands and knees to be sure they were GHs. I usually say I own millions of hoppers, this year it may be billions. The number I saw this morning was horrific.
The Grasshopper Hatch has happened.
Wow! that is not good news.
I have been seeing them here for about a week. I am not sure I have enough arsenal for all the critters after my plants this year. I sometimes think I need one of those beekeepers suits to even step outside there are so many nasty bugs.
