Just recieved another batch of true arborea's. When it rains it pours. I am now the proud owner of a true arborea wild strain and a wonderful arborea hybrid called Ida. Not to mention getting my first batch of arborea seeds this year with the Ida hybrids. Can't wait to plant them as they are about the size of marbles and come from Ida herself. Ahh, life couldn't be better. Perhaps Aurea monte Blonche comes close to being as velvety as the wild arborea...perhaps not. Can't wait for next year to come.

Congratulations!!!!! I think everyone is looking forward to the growing season next year. I know I can't wait.LOL
Brugman, i thought i was the only one waiting for next year. congrats on the plants and seeds.
Brugman,
Tell us what the difference is.
Ida is an extremely fast growing early blooming cultivar thats easy to root. Those are traits I look for in a good hybrid and any hybrid of my own that I keep. Ida's seeds bloom in their first year as well from what I hear. Ida is the creaton of Tonny of a site I recently posted for Datura and Brugmansia seeds. Rest assured, even though he calls them Datura arborea, they are in fact Brugmansia arborea and anyone hybridizes the way he does can call them anything he wants in my book. Think he has a book for identification on his site as well. www.surrowseeds.com is his site. While I am talking about his site, I might as well tell you that he will soon be selling a wild yellow aurea...but then everyone knows aurea hybrids are my favorite. Culebra's are on his list as well.
