My Coralberry is Sending Out Runners

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

I'm assuming this is how they spread. Can I snip the runners that have rooted and relocate them to a more desirable place?

Yes, that is a very good way to increase your stock.

Thank you, Josephine! Maybe I'll bring some to the RU, too!

I have been able to get some extra plants that way. I don't know why the ones I dug up recently don't look like they will survive.

I pulled up one piece this morning and potted it up. I snipped off some of the dead shoots and then planted it. We'll see if it survives!

I always pot up my runners until they are well rooted, the roots are slow to form, so I find it easier that way.

It is best to relocate suckers when they are dormant but early spring would seem like an excellent time too.

I'm going to pot them up and let them get a good root system going and then transplant them.
