CLOSED: Coleus trade anyone?

Clarksburg, WV(Zone 6a)

Hi, I'm new here and I am new to coleus as well. I don't know how I missed them. As my first trade, I would like to start easy, and all of you fine people seem to agree that coleus are simple to get going. I have three different varieties right now, and I would love to trade with someone to get me started here and on the coleus train. I have "Black Dragon," "Gold Lace," and "Hot Lava".

As a new person, is it okay to send unrooted cuttings of these? I have some cuttings started if a rooted plant is preferred. I am interested in anything vibrant and flashy, preferably not all green. I'm going for a dark foliage/chartreuse/pink theme. Anyone interested in a trade? Drop me a note here, and let me know where I go from here.

Thanks and nice to meet you!

Welcome, I'm a longtime gardener but new here to the site as well. Unroofed cuttings are fine, I've seen people trading them on the coleus forum. One thing I learned here was the correct way to take coleus cuttings: it needs at least one node below soil and one node above. Since I discovered this my tray of coleus cuttings is almost ready to transplant out.

I have recently purchased some more coleus, they are so tempting in the stores! So not interested in trades now. Fall is probably a great time for coleus trades Because people are taking cuttings to overwinter. I have so much fun on this site especially the perennial forums. Just did a perennial trade and am waiting for my box. Mail me anytime if you need help navigating, I'll let you know of any good threads.

Be sure to "watch" the coleus forum

Aaah. Thanks Buttercup! I'll close this for now, then. I had to do some pinching, so that's why I was offering. But I've had a taker and I'll stick the rest in the dirt for myself for now. Like I need any more plants ha ha.
