Two More "What are They".....

East Texas, TX

Walking around the back part of my yard this afternoon...this part borders the woods. I found a bee balm plant...several other things not sure if they are just weeds or what. Here are the pics...the first one reminds me of a marigold plant...but they just seem too large for that....thanks for any help.

I don't know for sure but I think the first one is a Ragweed, I don't know about the second one.

ahhh.....maybe that is why my allergies went wild right after I was out touching on it(the ragweed),lol. thanks!

Well, there are a few different ragweeds,
Triangle bur ragweed http://wildflower.org/plants/result.php?id_plant=AMDE4
Western ragweed http://wildflower.org/plants/result.php?id_plant=AMPS
Giant ragweed http://wildflower.org/plants/result.php?id_plant=AMTR
Texan great ragweed http://wildflower.org/plants/result.php?id_plant=AMTRT

Those are just a few, I think the one you have is the Western ragweed

Whoa, you know, I have something coming up in a few places that looks a lot like that Texan ragweed. Can't pull it up for anything, and if you chop it, it comes right back. Does that sound right? I thought it was some kind of pest tree.

East Texas, TX

you can pull them up by the roots before they bloom from what I have read. I would have to hire an army to do that here, lol from what I can see.

Brady, TX(Zone 8a)

You know, if ya can't pull it -- it's a WEED; if it pulls easily -- it's a flower or other 'desirable' plant!!

East Texas, TX

that is true,lol

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

LOL!!

Austin, TX(Zone 8b)
