I just bought one of these and planted. I saw one in downtown Houston and it was blooming profusely (March 2012). There were others I saw blooming around town as well. It must bloom earlier in Houston. They look very hardy.

I spend the winter months in Florida. This tree blooms from December and is still blooming to day April 1.
