It is hard to tell, but it looks like a Primrose.

Houston Heights, TX(Zone 9a)

It is very pretty.

Can you show a closer look of the leaves?

Rancho Santa Rita, TX(Zone 8a)

I ALSO BELIEVE IT IS

OENETHERA - and it is their bllom time is now.

Around here they are beloved and altho wild, not
considered to be A WEED.

People mow around them till they quit
blooming till next Spring.

THis is what I "THINK" IT IS

BLOOMING TILL NEXT S

Houston Heights, TX(Zone 9a)

I've never seen oenethera with more than one flower per stem and it looks like those do.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

I don't think it's oenethera either. The flower looks more phlox-like or bell-shaped. Also, more than one flower per stem. It's more like a flower cluster.

I agree, I just said it looks like primrose, but I don't think it is, also the way it is growing sort of coming from a circle seems strange, I wish she would post another picture, ans show the leaves more clearly.

Houston Heights, TX(Zone 9a)

What is it that looks like a flat circular place at the base of the plants. My eyesight is not what it used to be.

La Grange, TX(Zone 8b)

The flowers are called Purple Phacelia, Phacelia patuliflora. The flowers are similar to Baby Blue-Eyes. Both bloom at about the same time, but the Baby Blue-Eye flowers are solitary while Purple Phacelia flowers are found in clusters. Even though they are called Purple Phacelia, their color is more a purplish blue

Is it a native? If so, save me some seed please.

Hooray for a positive ID!

I left my camera here at the office, but will try to confirm the leaf tonight as I, too, mow around these "weeds" and many other.

And, yes they do look like Baby Blue-Eyes to me. Thank you for the ID! ☺
