Daffodils. Weak stems falling over.

Coming up in mid March is a little early even for Daffodils. Any ideas why they're falling over? This is second year, planted bulbs fall 2010. No fertilizer added. They were fine last year.

The ones that I have that are falling over are caused by canine klutzous. The dog runs through them and nails a few.

We did have some very heavy winds and rain. Since then the remaining plants are ok. Thanks.
