I do not believe that these images are of the actual Hippeastrum evansiae and are instead images of a similar yellow hybrid. Note the thickness of the petals, the wavy edge, the rounded tips of the petals in this image where they should be sharply pointed and tapering in H evansiae. Compare these to those on the Pacific Bulb Society's wiki page for Hippeastrum at: https://www.pacificbulbsociety.org/pbswiki/index.php/HippeastrumSpeciesOne#evansiae

Hello Jeff, this was sold to me as such at least 15 years ago. Mislabeling by grower is a possibility but IDK. I have grown many from seed and they come true. Love this plant. Do you
