I was fighting the sqeeters this evening trying to pot up some prairie verbena for the RU (more prolific a seeder than any plant has a right to be, but pretty) when I found these. Are they what I think they are, standing cyprus? Only 4 and too near the front of the bed but still I wont move them. It still thrills me to find these kinds of suprises in the garden.

What makes work worthwhile?
You lucky, lucky girl! Save some seed for me if you can this year. I'd love to have some of that plant.
The truly amazing part of this story is that I winter sowed a lot of natives in 2010. I got one little seedling in a milk jug that was supposed to be verbena and it turned out to be a SC! I never actually even planted them. My one plant bloomed the first year and left me these gifts. The original plant is still alive but looks like its on its last leg.

It does look like standing cypress, very nice, I never have luck with that plant, I am glad somebody does.
I am not 100% sure thats what it is but it does fit and this is close to the mother plant so I am hopeful.
