CLOSED: Hummingbird
I believe it is a Broad-billed Hummingbird.
I don't know what it is, but those are beautiful photos, especially the first one. Wow!
Thanks for the compliment P_Edens. This little hummer really made me work for these photos. I was very lucky to be able to camp in the parking lot of El Charco del Ingenio Botanical Garden for 3 days. An amazing garden! I parked in front of a fence of Pachycereus marginatus and this hummer would visit daily. But, by the time I had changed lenses and walked outside, he hummed away. He seemed to tease me, moving around so fast. Fortunately on the last day, I was able to take enough images to get these.
After looking around a bit and the range of Broad-billed Hummingbird, I think you've got it right thebestmissy. Thank you!
