I discovered this French heirloom spinach two years ago and I was highly impressed. Some of the leaves were at least 10 inches across and the taste is outstanding. I'm curious though how the name is pronounced. Is it Veer-off-lay, or Viroh-flay. You French language experts help me out here, please!
Viroflay Spinach
Veer oh FLAY. Accent on last syllable. I've grown it a number of times but never had much luck with it. I'll try it again. I think I plant it too late into summer; maybe I should put some in now. Thanks for the reminder!
