I bought a used 10 x 22 pvc greenhouse for $200 this weekend and is has 12 mil woven poly instead of the usual coverings I have read about here. Has anyone used this woven poly before?
12 mil woven poly for greenhouse covering
Carol, where did you buy your GH? I've read a little about the woven poly - I guess it's supposed to be stronger than regular ole plastic.
HEy Carol....(glad you are home again and not on the road)...is there a website with that stuff mentioned? I'd like to check into it for more info myself.
Go_vols, I found this greenhouse for sale in our area trading post. The gentleman was selling it because he had a couple of mild strokes and cannot garden like he used to. He showed us his backyard and you wouldn't believe his pond setup. He has a miniature grist mill covering the pumps; stream with a bridge; and made an inground pool, (10x12x4),for one of the ponds,(there was 3),with a bog over it. He is also giving me all of his pond plants, so now I need a pond! My poor fiance probably wishes I didn't go with him to buy it. lol
Horseshoe, yes it so good to be home! After having two days off I transferred to the plant here so I'm still putting in the long hours - but only for a couple of more weeks. :o) I was given all the paperwork pertaining to the greenhouse and here's where he bought the cover: http://www.northerngreenhouse.farmca.com. They also give you an address where you can send for a booklet with more info at the site. Dan, the seller, was pretty thorough; he also gave me the receipts from where he had originally bought plastic and it didn't hold up like this stuff. I hope this helps.
