How high off the ground should I place my bee hives? Is a typical cinder block high enough or too high?

I believe 6" or even higher if you don't want to bend down.
A cinder block is find.

my hives are 20 inches off the ground to keep the skunks out. its also good for ventilation with screen bottom boards.

I'm with Ray, we put ours 18" to keep skunks out.
