The nicely shaped flowers of Souvenir d'Herta Blin and this unnamed sibling appear in large flushes. The color changes from a citron-yellow into a bright golden-yellow within one day.

I got 5 doubles of similar quality out of this cross and all of them are Golden-Yellows.
How great, wish you were closer so i could buy one from you, my favorite one so far is one that was named for me and now has Buds on a new plant.

Just saw THE book......it will make very fascinating reading with yourself and Alistair combining your knowledge and I'm sure even though Adolpho Holguin isn't a name that's familiar to me, he is obviously someone who's opinion you respect, so we can look forward to the definitive book on Brugmansias.

Monica is this a new book, I have your book I purchased (german, and english translation) about 8 years ago, it was very helpful when I first started with Bugs.
Doris, it is a new book and will be published by Kewbooks and the University of Chicago Press. It has more than 400 pages and lots of pictures.

Well... Monica.. is it out yet... please post the name of the book.. and it's release date... I searched about some and couldn't find it yet.. Years ago I got a signed copy of your first book.. I believe it was from a breeder here.. she was relaying them to folks here... unfortunately I loaned out that copy to someone that didn't return it.. will you be doing something similar this time or will it be carried in the major retailers.. like amazon..

There is perhaps a small similarity with the flowers of Miss October but the shape of the calyx is a different one. While the calyx of the Miss October flowers are rather narrow have all four of these seedlings a inflated calyx.

The gene pool only goes so far. At some point a lot of brugs have started looking not much different from others.
As we go and with so may hybridizing now, it will be get more and more difficult to breed something all its own.
